Hello. As was pointed out before me, you have 32 audio tracks available for playback (or 16 stereo) at anyone time. 32 tracks=32 voices. The way most people get around this limitation is the way it has been done since day one. Since man started to record to more than one mono track, things have been bounced. People will always give you examples of the Beatles only having a 4 track recorder available. Bounce, bounce, bounce. Say you have 20 tracks of percussion (10 stereo). You bounce those to one stereo track. After that you make the other 20 tracks inactive. Armed with your stereo bounce of percussion, you can now make 30 other tracks active. It is cumbersome, but I think this is how most people do it. Just like it was always done with the limitations of multitrack tape machines.
