Blocked exhaust d24 tic 95 175k

Hello, engine started to run a little lumpy on start up.Two days later I noticed the talepipe had been bent forward squeezing the pipe 75% shute.I then remembered reversing onto a very steep drive a few days earlier and hearing the graunch.Bent piped sorted.I now have a fair amount of white- bluish smoke.Will this clear up or has serious damage occured.Injector pump was re-built about 45k ago. chop off the bent section and see what happens i dont see why that would destroy the ip

let it the engine get up to operating temp and then find a quiet bit of road and give it full throttle in 2nd gear, maximum revs until the smoke clears and see how it is after that. Regards TFB

Better to replace the bent section (or straighten carefully to retain the cross section). By all means do an Italian tune-up (properly) or give it a good long run to blow any condensation/buildup out of the engine. All the best, Peter. :car-smiley-031:
