"Send all input to VKB" doesn't work

Nope, There's an action to "Send all input" but not to "Stop sending all input" or Toggle the switch. IMO, all actionable two-way switches should have three Actions: -- set to state A, -- set to state B, -- toggle the state.

SWS' extensions provide toggling. You need to start a new cycling action, and here are the actions you want There is a drawback, if you close a project with the vkb onscreen, it will open with the vkb visible but without the "send all keypresses" Steve

I agree it should be a toggle action or at least an separate action to stop sending all input.... I have asked for this before as well... Perhaps one of the py script masters can create these if the dev's don't just build it right in?
