Hello; I recently purchased Padshop, with update to Padshop Pro with Zero Gravity sound set. It will not load up in Reaper. I have been going around and around with Steinberg to find a solution for over a week now, with their tech guy even contacting the developers, with no results. I have many vst's that I have used with Reaper over the years with no problems, and have never seen the likes of this one. The .dll file appears normal, but when you check on the properties of it, it says the original file is Padshop.vst3. The tech guy is adamant the it is a vst2 file. Has anyone had experience with Padshop? Seen anything like this? I have dl'ed the program on two different computers, with the same results. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks; conens

conens, Padshop will load in Reaper! This is the 64-bit version. First let's find the correct .dll file... look in Programs, then Steinberg, then VSTplugins, then Padshop. I use custom folders for my VSTs, so in this case I copied the .dll file to my "VST 64" folder, then I had Reaper re-scan my VST folders... done. The proof... :D Let me know if this worked for you. Good luck.

Bluzkat; Thanks for your reply, just now tried your suggestion. I run Reaper 32 bit, but I assumed that if I was able to load PS, it would auto bridge. But, after reinstalling the program, as 64 bit instead of 32 bit, I am getting the same .dll file in my vst folder, and getting a vst3 file in common files. I put the .dll file that showed up after the reinstall, just to see if maybe something had changed, but it did not load into Reaper. I did not mention in my first post that I rescanned from within Reaper, in several different folders, but that did not work either. I have literally 1000's of vst's, and have never come across anything like this. I think it has something to do with the name of the file, or the original name I should say. I uploaded a SS that shows the details of the .dll file, showing the original name to be a vst3. Thanks for posting me conens

I am going to sit on this for a bit more time, see if any thing comes to mind, reinstall and retry your steps again. Yeah, maybe time for some housecleaning, I am such a sucker for sound...not all are installed though, thank God for filters!! Thanks for your post. conens
