I was looking at the backup options and each option's explanation in the help file and I cannot seem to find a feature that will let me encode just the main movie and dvd-rb will bypass and retain the menus and extras. I am using 1.07 pro. Thank you for the help

I don't think I understand. How can you keep just the movie, but still retain the menus and extras?

hmmm I want dvd-rb to encode the movie. But I also want dvd-rb to include the menus/extras in the final dvd but they are not to be reencoded. I guess the analogy I remember is dvd shrink. In dvd shrink, I can choose "no compression" on the menu and extras and "automatic" on the main movie. The menus/extras are copied as is to the output dvd and then dvd shrink will only reencode the main movie. was that clear? :)

That would mean that the movie would be compressed even more. Why wouldn't you want it the other way so that you can get the most for the movie?

dvdrebuilder.ini [options] section vts_min_size=n where n = max size extras' vts in sectors (1 sector = 2kB) In this way extras will not be reencoded.

Rippraff's method is the only way to do it. Pressing "Allocate to Feature" won't work, however. It will add to, but never subtract from the feature. First disable menu encoding, that takes care of that part. Then go into the features with the editor and set each segment to "Force No Reencode"... Last, use the slider on the Feature to bring the total size down to a level at which it will not flag the "Oversize".
