Hi I lent my torslanda out today and it has now returned with the warning sign on "the triangle with the green insert", I have looked briefly at the car and it all seems fine, it looks like the sensor in the cat is new and there are no leads or hoses obviously disconnected, SO, WHAT COULD IT BE? It drove the six miles home perfectly and never shuddered altered tick over or felt in any way that there was a problem. can you by pass the sensor to "fool" it so it thinks all is well? The only thing the car has had done recently is a new exhaust, from the cat back not involving the cat and i cant see or hear any leaks on the system, please help:cow21:
Hi, Since my new exhaust, the emissions light comes on very ocasionally.. Usually at pretty low revs too... It may be a difference has registered in the ecu and has decided to pop up now.. Not sure how you check/clear codes in the 240 but a battery disconnect overnight should clear the fault code. Warning - make sure you know your radio code! Also, maybe worth getting the code read, just to find out what the issue is/was... Des. . . ;)

I have a 1990 240GLT and the Lambda light stays on every now and again. No fault codes, nothing appears to be wrong. It will clear if I disconnect and clean fuse No. 6. This is for the fuel pump and I am guessing that a bad contact here will cause the fuel pump to underperform and upset the Lambda sensor.
I took the advice looked at the sensor etc and i took the battery off over night, i have run for aweek with no light, the car was low on fuel before the light came on maybe this had somethin to do with it! anyway the thing is out, the only thing is now the dash bulbs are out so i cant see the speedo in the dark and fuel guage has gone faulty, any clues advice is much appreciated.
