Pro Tools has suddenly decided that it doesn't want to play whether from the keyboard or the transport bar. Any ideas?

Nah, increasing the buffer hasn't worked.

It does this on every session, or just one? Have you changed any preferences? Try selecting a region, or highlighting a portion of one, and press play. rockrev

I didn't change anything. I was working away and it just wouldnt play any more. I tried playing in other sessions but no luck.

Do you have "wait for note" enabled?

Other things to try: trash your preferences adjust your hd allocation to something around 5 to 10 minutes wait for note (a midi feature) countoff options pre/post roll times
