Once you have added your product to the Amazon catalog it’s time to send your inventory to FBA.
Make sure you are registered for Amazon FBA by going to Settings > Account Info > Your Services
You need to specify from which address the inventory is going to be sent. If you don’t live in the US, you can set the address of the preparation service such as FBA Inspection (if you are using their service).
Select the Case packed if your cases are previously packaged by the manufacturer that contain identical items with an identical number of units per Select Individual products if in each case you have individual items with different SKUs and different conditions.
If case packed is selected:
If individual packing is selected:
Every product unit that is sent to Amazon FBA must have a scannable bar code. You can either let Amazon label your products for a fee (0,20$ per unit) or you can label it yourself (which I highly recommend as it will cost you less and it will be processed faster when entering the Amazon fulfillment center). You can manually print and label each product unit or if you are doing private labeling print the FNSKU label directly on the product packaging. If you are going to do it manually then hit the Print labels for this page. It will download the PDF document with FNSKU labels which you need to print, cut and stick to each product unit. Make sure that you have only one scannable bar code. Only FNSKU should be visible. For more information about labeling please see the lecture How to label products for FBA. Under the Who labels column set who is going to do the labeling, You (Merchant) or Amazon. Hit the continue button.
Amazon will calculate in which FBA centers you should be sent. As you can see in our example Amazon has calculated that our shipment should be sent to 3 different Amazon fulfillment centers. 200 units (2 cases) in first, 200 units (2 cases) in second, and 100 units (1 case) in third. Amazon is doing this in order to optimize its fulfillment
I suggest that you use Amazon Partnered Carrier (UPS) as the ground shipping fees is much lower than when using other carriers.
Enter the number of boxes that you will be sending and the exact dimensions of the boxes. Then click calculate button. Amazon will calculate the exact shipping cost from the Ship to address to their fulfillment center. After that you need to agree with the terms and conditions and accept Your account will be billed for that amount.
Then go back and repeat this process and work on other shipments. In our case on the other two shipments. Basically, in our example, we would have had 3 different prepaid shipping labels since Amazon calculated that our inventory should go to 3 different fulfillment centers.
